Preschool

Preschool boys having fun. Why is a year at Banksmeadow Public School Preschool so important and beneficial to your child?
  • We support the optimum development of the whole child.
  • We are the first contact with the school system.
  • We set the scene for formal education.
  • We improve literacy and numeracy development as well as social competence.
  • We provide a specific service that caters for children aged 3-5 years old.
  • We support a smooth transition to school with regular opportunities to participate in whole school events.

Enrolment Information

  • Our Preschool program is specifically designed to prepare children for the year before they start Kindergarten. A child's enrolment is usually for one year.
  • Applications to enrol for the next year open after the Easter school holidays, the year prior to attendance.
  • Families can enrol their child for the current year if vacancies are available. Please make a phone enquiry by calling the school office on 9316 9608.

  • Parents are invited to an Orientation Information evening to learn about the Preschool program, policies and procedures prior to attendance.
  • Play mornings are also available at the Preschool. Children and their families come along towards the end of the year to develop a sense of belonging.
